Apad: Android Internet Tablet

After Apple ipad there is another internet tablet based on Android OS.  This Android internet tablet has been named as Apad. Actually there will be two new, and both have the Android operating system: A seven-inch large screen, and a much larger model with an 8-inch large screen and a giant frame. The frame is the Archos use to justify the term photo viewer.

The two models have thus far different look and appeal to different types of use. They also have the processor in common – namely, an ARM 9 processor at 600 MHz.

The smaller Archos 7 internet tablet to be released in the European market during April and will be available in two variants with respectively 2 and 8 gigabytes of memory. Prices are set at 149 euros for the small and 179 euros for the large version, which corresponds to approx. 1100 dollars and 1300 dollars. Archos 7 is only 12 millimeters thick and weighing approximately 350 grams.

The second Home Tablet model Archos 8, you can use to surf the net and watching movies. It weighs 400 grams and also has a thickness of only 12 millimeters. Memory is four gigabytes. Archos 8 comes in May and will cost around 1100 dollars.
