Gartner reports that 2009 saw a turnover of 4.2 billion USD through sales of mobile applications last year and surprisingly 97.5 % the programs were sold via the App Store. This figure is only for paid application of iphone . If we count on free programs the figure is even higher, the entire 99.4%.
