Music Burnt in CDs may become old fashioned in 2010 and will become obsolete in 2016 as digitally downlaoded music is making its way in our lives. the current research shows that digitally downlaoded music will surpass physical music (Music CDs ) sales by 2010.
So far iTunes is the single largest music retailer in the United States, having captured 69 percent of the digital market. In comparison to many other musci selling sites iTunes is so far the way ahead form big-box stores WalMart and Best Buy, and held on to its massive lead over AmazonMP3 in digital sales
iTunes also continued to solidify its lead in the digital music arena, as consumer downloads from iTunes comprised 69 percent of the digital music market in the first half of 2009, followed by AmazonMP3 at 8 percent. Walmart leads all sellers of CDs with a 20 percent share of the physical music market, followed by Best Buy at 16 percent and Target and Amazon tied at 10 percent each.
