by usmanzia on April 23, 2009

Apple Sales data reports an impressive increase of shares, thanks to iphone  with 3,97 slod units. Remmeber that record growth is because of  the fact that, a year ago, the first-generation iPhone was basically only available in the U.S., whereas the iphone 3g was launched worldwide.

  • Apple sold 2.22 million Macs during the quarter, a three percent decline from the second quarter of last year, generating $2.95 billion in sales, down from $3.49 billion.
  • Apple sold 11.01 million iPods during the quarter, a three percent increase from a year ago, generating $1.67 billion in sales, down from $1.82 billion.
  • Apple sold 3.79 million iPhones during the quarter, a 123 percent increase over a year ago, generating $1.52 billion in sales, up from $378 million.
