Apple Sales data reports an impressive increase of shares, thanks to iphone with 3,97 slod units. Remmeber that record growth is because of the fact that, a year ago, the first-generation iPhone was basically only available in the U.S., whereas the iphone 3g was launched worldwide.
- Apple sold 2.22 million Macs during the quarter, a three percent decline from the second quarter of last year, generating $2.95 billion in sales, down from $3.49 billion.
- Apple sold 11.01 million iPods during the quarter, a three percent increase from a year ago, generating $1.67 billion in sales, down from $1.82 billion.
- Apple sold 3.79 million iPhones during the quarter, a 123 percent increase over a year ago, generating $1.52 billion in sales, up from $378 million.
