750 000 additional sites are compatible , that the figure announced by skyfire in launching this new version that can play video clips in Flash format . Recall that with skyfire , the videos are transcoded into files compatible with the HTML5 and optimized for display on mobile devices , the process is done on company servers . It follows ” reading faster and more fluid with less load times, less framedrops and better cycle battery ».
Skyfire said in a statement that through testing , users watched twice more videos from their mobile battery with a gain of around 30% in comparison to the native integration of Flash Player. By asserting that most Flash videos are designed for a computer monitor and a broadband Internet connection , the Skyfire team said its technology can adapt to the mobile Internet connections to return better performance .
