Final Fantasy XIV open beat test which was launched on 31^st August delayed due to the some critical bugs. The new details about the open beta test  Final Fantasy XIV will be released later. The Square Enix will inform you about maintenance and other announcements accordingly. About dates for individual test runs and any changes Square Enix will inform through the official Twitter page of Final Fantasy XIV.

According to the Developers who wrote on the Final Fantsy XIV website:

FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test, which is scheduled to begin at 19:00 (PDT) on Aug. 31, 2010, will be postponed due to a confirmation of critical bugs. New schedule will be released at a later date.
