Next Google mobile OS called Honeycomb? After Gingerbread

Google is following the tradition of naming the Android OS after sweets and cakes. The Google previous operating system names such as Éclair, Froyo and Gingerbread. Now there a rumors in the market that the next version of Android will be called as Honeycomb. The next Google mobile OS  version will be launched as Android 3.1 or 3.2(Honeycomb) after the release of Android 3.0 OS(Gingerbread). However, it is expected that the new Google mobile OS Honeycomb will be released early next year.

Android 1.5 codename Cupcake
Android 1.6 codename Donut
Android 2.1 codename Éclair
Android 2.2 codename Froyo
Android 3.0 codename Gingerbread

Please remember Google has not officially declared its next Android version will be called Honeycomb. These are speculation which are prevalent in the market. We will let you know as soon as Google will announce its next mobile OS version.
