The untethered jailbreak 5.0.1 iPhone 4S / iPad 2 has only become possible due to the untiring efforts of chronic dev team with the help of Pod2g and MusclNerd.

Requirements:

For jailbreak iPhone 4S on iOS 5.0.1, you will require following files,

1OS 5.0.1 ipsw for iPhone 4S/ iPad 2
Download iTunes
Download Greenpois0n Absinthe for Mac/ Windows

Jailbreak iPhone 4S On 5.0.1 untethered with Greenpois0n Absinthe

Step 1: First of all connect your iPhone 4S with you PC via USB.

Step 2: Now open iTunes then Restore to iOS 5.0.1.

Step 3: Download and unzip Greenpois0n Absinthe.

Step 4: Now just click on “Jailbreak” button and follow further instructions.

Step 5: After the completion you will see Greenposion Absinthe icon on the Home screen.

Step 6: Now tap the Absinthe icon, and GreenPois0n website will open and reboot your iPhone 4S/iPad 2. Now you will see Cydia icon will be replaced by Absinthe icon.
