Nokia in cut throat competiton but surviving as topper

With every new model yet to come the pics & specs are always available on blogs which is the supposed negative impact it has on Nokia’s bottom line (lost money, angry customers) But more than  this the most alarming situtaion is that the competition is growing faster and shares of Windows mobiles and by other manufacturer is taking the market share from this giant manufacturer who was once a market leader. Nokai make a wide range of mobile devices with services and software that enable people to experience music, navigation, video, television, imaging, games, business mobility and more.

Nokia, which has led the cellphone market for years, is getting shelled. Shares are down 3.4% today to $24.55, and are down 28% from recent highs in April. 7% of Nokia’s phones that sold for more than $300 last year represented 15%-20% of its cellphone revenue and 20%-25% of its gross profit, McKechnie says. So if Apple’s expansion into Europe and Asia — and new phones from RIM — cut into Nokia’s high-end smartphone sales, it’s in trouble

With every new mobile coming to market the cut is taken from nokia But is nokia ready to ride the top ride while the competeors are growing to catch its market one by one. Well i believe that nokia will is putting up its toes for the  competition and this year accquiring of companies form coail netowrking to labs portrays its ambitions to stay as leader in mobil industry and   Nokia is planning to sell 35 million GPS-enables devices which means the company is likely to become the largest individual volume manufacturer for navigation solutions by 2010
