Nokia must do something to not be sprung from the Iphone and Sony Ericson’s Android operating system in the smartphone market. The new OS is called Maemo and includes a model Nokia N900. According to the media site mashable.com it is still Linux-based Maemo applicable to Nokia’s N-series. Under the plan, the entire series consists of Maemo phones 2012th

Nokia is still by far the largest market for smartphones, cell phones with operating systems and touch screen / keyboard, but there is no doubt that Symbian is no longer the hottest option for mobile OS. When Samsung also presents a separate and more focused system called Bada Nokia must act. Nokia fans who can not think of a mobile life without the once superior Symbian may stick to the E and X series, but N-series will continue to be equipped with Maemo.

It is intended to Select Maemo, Maemo portal for software applications to run alongside Symbin Nokia’s Ovi portal until further notice, but they will eventually be merged into one.
