Office 2010 ready by June

Microsoft has already stated their intentions to have their next Office suite, Office 2010 ready by June and it now appears that the program schedule is approaching a final version.

A so-called Release Candidate edition is sent out to selected test users to test and report on the last blatant errors, Microsoft has not even caught during the beta test, which started in November last year.

True to form, Microsoft has been unable to restrict access to the new test version for the right people, as it already is to find several places on the network as illegal downloading.

Office 2010 will offer a similar user interface, as known for the Office 2007 version. The used file format will be Microsoft’s own OOXML, but there will also be support for the ODF format.

As something new, Microsoft Office 2010 also came in both a 32 and 64-bit edition.
