Samsung makes eBook reader with color display

Samsung has showcased a prototype of their bid for Samsung eBook reader. Unlike to Amazon’s popular Kindle model, there is a color screen. Samsung is developing this Ebook very fast so now Samsung will also have a bite of the electronic book market.

At an exhibition in Japan has wide ranging business has just unveiled their prototype of an eBook. Contrary to Amazon’s popular Kindle, there is an eBook reader in color.

The product is 10.1-inches, just 0.7 mm thick (but not flexible), a pixel of 450 x 600 and a contrast ratio of 10:1.

Samsung expects to start production within 1-2 years, but it will be interesting to see if Amazon and Sony overtakes them indenom with upgraded color versions, respectively Kindle and Sony Reader before then.
