Say no to Genetically modified (GM) foods

by usmanzia on August 13, 2008

How many times have scientists gone for the use of Genetically modified  food just because there are no legislation in this case. The science of taking genes from one species and inserting them into another was supposed to be a giant leap forward but it has gone against nature  and that is why these foods are at risk of helath.  Recently Prince Charles recently termed these foods as worst disaster but what can be done to stop it. Few  bio tech companies and governments support and they  are still trying to force its

Those in favour of GM crops often claim that they have the potential to ‘feed the world’. Many people, not least those who live in countries where hunger persists, believe that a technological fix will at best address the symptoms of hunger and malnutrition

The simple truth is, we don’t need GM technology. W hat we need is a  food security not anti nature food prodcution . All we need is the sustainable farming which will allow us to repair the damage done by industrial farming. We should  remember that corporate control on food chain through patents and the ownership of seeds will only worse the  the problem.
