This time its a SIM card which combine the technology of wireless working or more precisely a SIM card with built-in WiFi.
The card reads SIMfi, and is reportedly the world’s first SIM-card with built-in WiFi. According to Sagem Orga card has a range of between 5 and 50 meters, and can decrease the efficiency if we want to conserve battery power.
The card looks like an ordinary SIM card, and is obviously neither more nor less than the current map. One should not expect to buy a SIMfi cards in the near future. Production costs are currently soaring, and a single prototype cost up to 5,000 euros, matching more than 37,000 Danish kroner, to produce.
