Skype is not that popular Chat program as it was some years ago. But it is still one of the most popular applications for telephony over the web. Skype has now released Skype for Symbian phones without touch screen as a beta version of their software for. Skype Symbian S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1 and Feature Pack 2 supports Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia N97 and Sony Ericsson Satio not supported.

In contrast to the latest version of the program like Fringe, it is not possible to make video calls with Skype for Symbian. Calls to other Skype users is free, and can occur over both 3G and WiFi.
