Verizon iPhone 4 vs At&t iPhone 4

Since both the Verizon iPhone 4 and At&t iPhone are available in the market. People are worried what it the difference between Verizon iPhne and At&t iPhone. Here we have made a full comparison of both the AT&T and the Verizon iPhone 4. Let’s see what are the differences in both these iPhone 4.

iPhone 4 Antenna Design:

If you look at the design of both At&t iPhone and Verizon iPhone, you will realize the that both the iPhone 4 are almost identical. But here we have noticed that the antenna of the Verizon iPhone 4 are slightly modified over AT&T’s version.If you closely monitor that Verizon iPhone 4 external antenna has been removed in order to solve the reception issue. We are still unclear that the change in the design of external antenna particularly necessary for CDMA versions iPhone or deliberately designed in order to differentiate between GSM iPhone 4 and CDMA iPhone 4. While on the other side the At&t iPhone 4 antenna is on the top which has been mentioned in the above picture.

Form Factor:

The second thing which i noticed that the placement of mute button slightly change in both the Verizon iPhone 4 and AT&T iPhone 4.

No issues in the aesthetic sense but here i want to mention that iPhone 4 bumpers and cases specially designed for iPhone may not be compatible with the latest version of iPhone 4. For that reason Verizon has already displayed iPhone 4 cases specially designed for CDMA iPhone 4.

Hotspot and Firmware:

The exciting new feature of Verizon iPhone 4 is its mobile hotspot. Remind here on the GSM iPhone 4/3GS/3G  only iphone tethering(share) is available via USB or bluetooth. But with the Verizon CDMA iPhone 4 you will be able to share iPhone’s internet over wi-fi with up to five devices which includes iPod Touch and not just our computers.

The Verizon CDMA iPhone 4 at present is running on iOS 4.2.5 while the GSM iPhone 4 is not running on the same firmware. We do believe that both the CDMA & GSM iPhones will be running on difference firmwares as both are based on different technologies.

Verizon Wireless iPhone Coming Soon

Verizon Wireless has issued the first commercial for its iPhone 4 Which will take place on February 10. The commercial shows several clocks are ticking and fibula waiting for something, then close with the slogan: “To our millions of customers who never stopped believing that this day would come. Thanks.”

There’s nothing in the commercial even the iPhone has been presented, but Verizon has informed the world that “millions of customers”  February 10 will be the day, when the CDMA based iPhone 4  will be available to Verizon’s subscribers.

Verizon iPhone 4 will be offered in 16GB version and 32GB version with estimated price of $199 , and $299 respectively. However,  both prices will be offered only when you agree to sign 2 year contract agreement.

Verizon Samung 4G LTE Smarphone at CES 2011

Verizon Samsung LTE smartphone has been announced during the CES 2011. But unfortunately, not been given official name of this Samsung LTE Phone. Yesterday, we reported about AT&T Samsung Infuse 4G smartphone. Both Verizon and AT&T 4G smarpthone almost have same specs expect display screen.

Verizon Samsung 4G LTE smartphone specs & features

The new Verizon Samsung 4G LTE smartphone specs reveals that it comes with 4.3? Super AMOLED PLUS display screen while the AT&T Samsug Infuse 4G smatphone comes with 4.5″ Super AMOLED PLUS display screen while both 4G smartphone will be based on Google mobile OS Android 2.2 OS ( Froyo) which will soon be updated with the latest Android version. The new Verizon Samsung 4G LTE is powered by Hummingbird processor at 1 GHz with 8 MP rear camera and 1.3 MP front facing camera for video chat.

Both Verizon Samsung 4G LTE Phone and AT&T Samsung Infuse 4G definitely look more better and thinner then the other 4G smartphones such as  Motorola Droid X and HTC EVO 4G. Unlike the Samsung Galaxy S smartphone, the  Verizon Samsung 4G LTE keys at the bottom are physical rather than touch-sensitive which is interesting because Samsung typically chooses the sleek and sexy look for their phones.

This Verizon Samsung 4G LTE smartphone will come with Skype video chatting feature along with the ability to use it as a 4G mobile hotspot. But it is still unknown how well Skype video calling will perform on this Samsung 4G smarpthone.

Verizon Drops Samsung Galaxy Tab Price to $499 with $60 Credit for Movie Rentals

The possible Android HoneyComb tablet PC is about to be launched during CES 2011 in Las Vegas. And Verizon has decided to drop price of Android tablet PC Samsung Galaxy Tab up to $100 to celebrate New Year. Means you can buy Verizon  Galaxy Tab with estimated price of $499.99. Furthermore, you can also get $60 as credit for movie rentals, either from Blockbuster or Samsung’s Media Hub.

Verizon LTE iPhone 4 Launch after Christmas

The new rumor that U.S mobile provider Verizon will launch Lte enabled iPhone 4 in U.S after Christmas.In the past week Verizon has already functioning iPhone 4 for staff training. Moreover, LTE iPhone 4 are already shipping to Verizon warehouses in preparation for the official announcement and launch, which should both take place immediately after Christmas.

According to MacDailyNews that Verizon’s first iPhone is an LTE / Ev-Do device that will be marketed as the world’s only “LTE iPhone”

Verizon’s iPhone could become a test event for the new mobile system. LTE will be introduced in summer 2011 with the iPhone 5 Until then, Verizon has the advantage and can – possibly with support from Apple – to develop the LTE network.

Some other rumors regarding iPhone 5 that it will debut next summer 2011 as an LTE-only smartphone. but the main hudrle is that Verizon and AT&T may not be able to provide LTE services in all of their markets by then, it’s unlikely that the iPhone 5 will be the only LTE phone.

Verizon 4G LTE Network Launch date December 5th, Start at $50/month

Verizon has announced that they will launch 4th generation Long Term Evolution(LTE) in the selected U.S. cities from December 5,2010. The first corp of LTE enable network will be launched in the total numbers of 38 cities and 60 airports across the U.S.It has also been promised by the Verizon that the 4G LTE will be available in the U.S by 2013.

Verizon 4G LTE Date Plan:

$50 monthly plan with a 5GB data allowance
$80 monthly plan with a 10GB monthly allowance

Verizon will charge $10 per GB if you cross your data allowance limit. Moreover, Verizon will offer you 5 to 12Mbps speed on the downlink and 2 to 5 Mbps on the uplink. Verizon LTE-enable devices such as HTC Merge and LG LTE phone will be launched launched  during the CES 2011.

Furthermore, Verizon will also introduce two USB data-sticks, LG VL600 and Pantech UML290 on December 5th. You will be able to get USB data-sticks for $99 with 2-year contract and $50 mail-in-rebate.

The 7-inch touchscreen iPad killer is all set to reach US and UK through carriers with contract price that their subscribers are waiting  . iPad Coming at Verizon

Apple and Verizon announced yesterday that iPad would be available in U.S at Verizon on 28th October. But apple ipad verizon wireless is not the CDMA iPad that will play with Verizon’s ubiquitous network. However, it must be the standard Wi-Fi  iPad model of Apple’s tablet, but it will be bundled with the ipad verizon mifi mobile hotspot device.  Remind you At & t is also offering iPad in its 2,200 stores.

“All iPad Wi-Fi + 3G models will be available beginning Thursday, October 28 AT & T Stores across the U.S. for a suggested retail price of $ 629 for 16GB, $ 729 for 32GB and $ 829 for 64GB. Domestic data for iPad plans are priced at $ 14.99 per month for 250MB and $ 25 per month for 2GB with no term contract. Both plans include unlimited access to AT & T’s 23.000 + domestic Wi-Fi hot spots.”

As At &t , the exclusive rights-holders in the U.S. for the iPhone, now the rival Verizon Wireless will offer all 3 models of the  iPad, tablet pc with a fast wireless Internet access in U.S for ipad verizon tethering. There are rumors in the market that At & t’s iPhone exclusive rights in U.S would also be given to the Verizon Wireless and iPhone will soon be available at Verizon in U.S

Verizon Wireless road map has been leaked again, with more information is now being made public. About a while ago we have reported about the Verizon road map. But the new Verizon Wireless leaked road map looks different.

Verizon Wireless Upcoming Smartphones:

  1. Five anroid mobile smartphone will make their appearance in Verizon.It is the Continuum Samsung (SCH-i400), Motorola Venus, Droid Pro, HTC and Motorola Merge Citrus (WX445).
  2. In the first quarter of 2011 Motorola Stingray tablet will make its apperance. According to the rumors this android based tablet has 10 inch display, 16GB of internal memory and a 2-Tegra processor. Moreover, it should only appear with Android 3.0 Gingerbread.
  3. Samsung Continuum is the second small-screen ticker is also in the list of October 1GHz processor and global roaming capabilities and QWERTY keyboard coming in late October.
  4. The Motorola Venus is in “Blackberry-style” android froyo smartphone is coming in October and its main features includes g.
  5. The Droid Pro can with a TI processor OMAP3 points. This will be clocked with 1.3 GHz probably. It is possible that this is that as a Droid 2 World Edition traded unit. It is speculated that even Droid could replace 2 already. Motorola Droid 2 will be launched in October or early November.
  6. HTC Merge / Lexikon will also be available at Verizon Wireless in late October or early November.
  7. The LG enV Pro Android based tablet will come in November, featuring 1GHz processor and CDMA/GSM connectivity.

Samsung Galaxy Tab is coming to Verizon. The information has been revealed by BGR source who has taken the image of Verizon inventory list which clearly shows the Samsung Galaxy Tab (SCHI800BDU) is in the list along with other Samsung products in the carrier inventory.

There are rumors that Motorola Droid 2 is coming to Verizon next week. There are also rumors that the Droid 2 will probably be launched on 12th August. The new image of Motorola Droid 2 has emerged which looks quite similar to its predecessor. However, Motorola Droid 2 price is still not clear.
