Ubuntu gets a new branding

After having had more or less the same look since its original release back in 2004, get Ubuntu now a proper makeover.

There is an apparently strong OS X-inspired new color palette, logo type, theme and concepts to other types of graphics that can be implemented in different ways in the future.

Mark Shuttleworth says that the paradigm, the Ubuntu team is from, “Human”, now has outlived itself, and that now it is time to switch to a new paradigm, “light / lite”, and to create a professional-looking operating system.

The new brand will be first used in LTS version 10.04.
