In Norway’s telecom company Tele2 therefore taken the initiative to open what is being described as the world’s first SMS museum. Here you can see some examples of what is in the small mobile messaging, Norwegians send to each other.
- “We invite all Norwegians to send SMS messages into. Funny, sad, embarrassing or sad messages. Everything must. Even before opening, we have close to 4,000 SMS messages, and we are very satisfied with,” says Haakon Dyrnes, Managing Director of Tele2.
The initiative is not only that everyone can get an insight into the SMS, which flies from mobile to mobile. The museum may also provide language-and trend researchers valuable information about language and SMS habits.
- “Sms-museum is an important measure that will show how SMS messages are used in everyday life. It will give us valuable insight into what people are concerned and how we express ourselves. The museum will thus reflect the time we live in. Sms’erne can be a resource for those who want to follow trends – both in SMS language and the Norwegian language over time, “says SMS researcher Berit Skog simultaneously SMS museum’s first director.
