Sony Ericsson’s andorid powered and most hyped phone Xperia X10 will receive an update from Android 1.6 to 2.x – but perhaps only at the end of 2010. Sony Ericsson has developed with its own UX interface (Time and Media Cape) compensated for some of the shortcomings of 1.6, but it still feels like a blow to many who had hoped for an update during the summer.
Data are from Cnet Asia, who spoke with a representative from Sony Ericsson confirmed that update can take as long as four to eight months.
Perhaps taking Sony Ericsson, Sense of past experience, in a considerably high side in terms of time frame this time. Better to set the bar low and then to surprise positively by delivering faster than expected? Four to eight months from now is a time frame that spans from mid-July to mid-November. As a reference, Android 1.6 was released already in September 2009.
